Adelaide Hills is recognised as one of Australia’s foremost “cool” climate viticultural regions. After free hotel pick-up, we travel through the scenic Adelaide Hills to Mount Lofty Summit for an weather permitting view over the City & Piccadilli Valley, we then begin to taste the fine wines in the Hills. We wander through the small villages of the Hills, Crafers and Stirling, with a short visit to the Organic Market before visiting Hahndorf.
You can take time to walk and take photos in the German village of Hahndorf then do a tasting of the excellent Hahndorf Hill wines. We may visit Shaw and Smith/Hahndorf Hill /Lane wineries to taste their exceptional white wines and new reds.
We visit the Bridgewater Mill, home of the renowned Petaluma Wines. We tour through the Methode Champenoise Cellars.
If time permits, we travel further into the heart of the Hills to Gumeraca & The Chain of Ponds wines. They produce a range of awarding-winning white and red wines in their little piece of land reminiscent of Tuscany.
