Complimentary pick-up from your hotel and guided along a scenic route, passing picturesque, rural landscapes and small towns traveling north towards the Clare Valley, in the direction of the Flinders Ranges.
Winery Tour of Clare Valley Details
Our first stop for morning tea is the quaint little town of Auburn with time to a short wander through antique shops. We taste the product of the small winemakers of the Clare Valley.
We visit Mintaro a historical township over a hundred years old with a pub, post office, and quaint shops still working today (Martindal Hall can be visited Entree at your cost if required).
We visit the Sevenhills Cellars, which is run by the Jesuit brothers. Here we can visit the historic church and explore the heritage of the first vineyard in the region.
Lunch can be at the beautiful Skillogalee restaurant/winery where a gourmet lunch is served, (one main meal per person and a glass of wine ) under the olive groves. After lunch and if time permits, we may travel next door to taste the fine wines of Kilakanoon wines with Kevin Mitchell.
Our journey back takes us through the old copper mining town of Kapunda. If time permits, we have a drink at the old Kapunda Hotel or have coffee before our return to Adelaide.
